Where we work, play, live...give!

Thank you for joining us on Friday, April 25, 2008 for Alexandria’s first-ever community-wide Day of Service! You and hundreds of other volunteers will be providing community services at dozens of sites throughout the city making it a better place for all of us!

This event is a collaboration of many organizations, brought together by the sponsors: the Alexandria Volunteer Bureau, the City of Alexandria, the Alexandria Community Trust, Rebuilding Together Alexandria, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and Lemonaide.

Just as in a walkathon, we are asking each volunteer to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to cover costs of the day. Volunteers who raise more than that are eligible for great prizes--already American Airlines has donated two coach class roundtrip tickets to any destination in North America or the Caribbean! Proceeds will benefit the Alexandria Volunteer Bureau's efforts to provide volunteer matches throughout the year.

PLEASE NOTE: The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region (CFNCR) hosts this site for Spring for Alexandria and will administer the fund-raising for this event. You may receive acknowledgements from CFNCR that your information has been received. Your log-in and profile information is only used by Spring for Alexandria and all proceeds for this event will benefit the work of the Alexandria Volunteer Bureau.
